According to the Top Business School “The International Placement approaching the graduates of Indian Institute of Management (IIM-A) from consulting and banking firms have gone up this year, sparkly a better market feeling abroad.
An Indian Institute Of Management(IIM-A) report said without exposing that “Consulting firms like Oliver Wyman,Analysys Mason and Heidrick & Struggles made international offers this year, on both sides of across New York, Dubai and Singapore.
The Report said that IIM-A adopts international principles for placements and it will discharge the final placement statistics after the convocation on March 26, 2011.
In the middle of the marketing firms, HUL and Proctor & Gamble offered roles in Singapore at the same time as Cadbury Kraft and Dabur also completed international offers.
More international roles is offered by the Consultancy firms in this year to the B-Grade School graduates, in addition banks. The final placement process for Post Graduate Programme (PGP) kicked off on February 12 and ended on March 4.
The Report affirmed that “An increased number of banks participating in the placement process this year. These included Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, HSBC and Citi.”
The Report also affirmed that the students were offered roles in investment banking as well as global marketing. “Goldman Sachs, Nomura, and Royal Bank of Scotland were among the major recruiters.”

According the report more than 120 firms participated in the lateral and final placement process at Indian Institute of Management (IIM-A).Nearly 314 Post Graduate Programme Students (PGP) are required in placement cell.
An Indian Institute Of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-A) administrator said that almost 37 percent of the batch was eligible for lateral placements, which were conducted in between January and February.
The Administration said that the firms like Amazon, Deloitte Consulting, Bain, Barclays Bank, Yes Bank, Clearwater, Cognizant, Microsoft and Info edge were the firms who recruits’ the a number of employees. “Over 40 firms were part of the lateral recruitment process.
According to the Official report of IIM-A “In the lateral Placement the Students which have of 18 months of prior work experience are eligible”
The report confirmed that “This year seven students, 2 per cent of the batch, opted out of the placement process to become entrepreneurs.”
